The past two months have been so interesting. At the end of August, I was invited to participate in the Festival Tunduro and was fortunate to share the stage with Hortencio Langa, Xidiminguana, Sete Swazi, and Chico Antonio in a tribute to Fanny Mfumo and Alexandre Langa.

The following day, I was privileged to attend the Health Day at the American School. What an eye-opener!

I flew to Johannesburg at the beginning of September to tape Late Night with Kgomotso which airs in October on SABC2 and then I spent a few days in Luanda as a guest of some good friends who were having a birthday. Whilst in Luanda I helped the Angolan jazz artist Afrikkanitha with the promotion of her upcoming album which is due out in October. I produced a few of the tracks on this album.

I have been in and out of the studio playing with new ideas and I attended the JAG Foundation's function - "My Inspiration" on the Allee Bleu wine farm. I was in some serious company there! It was fun seeing my name on a wine label.

On Heritage Day, I played at the UCT Black Alumni function which was fun alongside Sibongile Ngoma and Nomfundo Xaluba.

I ended September doing business in Maputo before starting October travelling to Brazil. I am attending the premiere of the documentary called MAMA AFRICA which was shot in 10 African countries by a Brazilian film crew. Very exciting!

I am back in time to a corporate in Johannesburg and a festival that I am looking forward to immensely - Rocking the Daisies. We are going to show the rock bands that jazz cats can also rock! Whew I am clocking up some air miles this year!

See you all soon
