So many things are happening at this time of the year. Most of us have a feeling of mild panic as there are only about 50 days left to 2011.
My trip to Brazil was as awesome as usual. It was such an honour and priviledge to be at the premiere of MAMA AFRICA documentary in Rio and Brazilia. Thank you to everyone involved in having me there. Hopefully we get to see the documentary in South Africa soon.
24 hours after getting back to Cape Town, I was back in Johannesburg playing a gig with DJ Fistaz and percussionist Tlale. 3 hours later we realised we hadn't taken a break. It was an outstanding gig. Thanks Yvette.
Rocking The Daisies festival was fun too. Pity about the weather. It was my first time at this festival and I was amazed at the organisation and the cleanliness.
I have also just spent an amazing few days in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I was invited to the inaugural African Leaders Network conference. Wow, Africa is rocking! It was an amazing experience to network and converse with young energetic minds from all parts of Africa. Such a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm and collection of interesting people. I am so excited about the prospects and future for this continent of ours. Thank you Raphael for all the organising and for inviting me.
Lots of interesting things are happening in the months to come so keep watching this space!
